The Patient
Poor Rosey did indeed need stitches. I'm afraid we won't be able to avoid a fairly prominent scar. Needless to say, I'm sad for her. I wish I could do more to protect her. She feel into some door-hinge hardware at one year old, so this is her second forehead scar. I know the color will fade and then disappear, but a slight indention will probably always be there. Maybe she'll choose to wear bangs when she grows up. Her hair has grown very slowly, but I think there is finally enough to allow for some bangs. We'll have a beautician give it a try. She seems to have a high forehead like mine, so bangs are the best thing anyway.
The boys were alarmed and couldn't stop staring at her today. She didn't return from the ER until about 1 am, so they woke up to a surprise. Timmy was upset and kept saying, "That looks like it hurt."
She is such a great little sport! It really didn't appear like she paid it any mind today, except when the boys would walk up and study her.

Aww...poor kid! For what it's worth, my mother SWEARS by Nivea cream and Vitamin E for scars.
that smile...she looks none the worse for her fall. although i am sure daddy could have used that extra hour of sleep!
Awww! Vitamin E works wonders as well as Mederma.
