hello again

Been busy lately. Started a couple blog posts, but could never finish them. Still fighting some depression. Not really understanding what is happening with that. Without insurance, I don't dare go to the OB-GYN to find some answers. There is more depression and anxiety than mood swings, so perimenopause can't be the whole story.

I'll get around to a real post as soon as I can.

Aw, I'm sorry you're still down, Pam. Hope you feel better. Are there any sort of free services in the community you can check with re: depression? I am frustrated on your behalf that not having insurance prevents you from asking your doctor. That's scary! Our system in Canada is very different. We don't have to think about it when we need help, we just go and it doesn't cost anything. Take care of yourself and write soon! Miss you!

Hi Pam... when my thyroid was conking out on me, but I didn't know it yet, I was very anxious as well as down and depressed. I even took antidepressants for a few months. I was sad and would cry every day, sometimes it felt like over nothing. I felt emotionally weak and like I was falling apart and I was so scared that I attempted to hide much of this from my loving husband. Turns out, once my thyroid was regulated better, I bounced back to feeling more like myself again. I don't want you to under estimate the effect of your pregnancies, fairly close together and at somewhat of an advanced age (I'm older than you, so I can say that!).
