Kind of Magical

Well, Jess, things are not great here sleep wise either. The rest of my children teethed between 8 and 11.5 months. I noticed that Anna Grace was having trouble drifting peacefully off, despite the fact that she should NOT have been overtired. Yesterday was the second day of this, so out of curiosity I checked her gums. She has both incisors coming in on top! There is no jagged edge through yet, but the teeth are right there ready to break through. I've never heard of the incisors coming through before the front bottom or front top teeth.

Most of my day yesterday was spent either trying to GET her to sleep, or trying to put her BACK to sleep. If Don had not been here most of the day, I don't know what I would have done. He's working a part-time job from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (cleaning offices this time). The hours are conducive to the tech school hours, should he be awarded the grant.

Anyway, this is one high-maintenance baby! The spit up is still prolific too. Today I am contemplating some Tylenol before at least one of the naps.

Here is my sleep joy song:

Count it all joy, joy, joy!
When baby gets teeth, teeth, teeth,
And the entire daaaaaaaaay, aaaa, aaaaa,
Is spent preoccupied with sleep, sleep, sleep!

Count it all JOY! (Leap up in the air when you get to the last line)

Repeat four times.
Rest of children will start jumping with you.
Then you realize that nothing is really that serious.
Or annoying.
Because there are smiles, laughter, and boundless joy energy all around you.
The thing about joy is....it's contagious! Kind of magical that way. It's neat.

We never rent videos anymore, now that we have four children and too much to do, but I think we'll have to join a video store so I can rent "The Sound Of Music". I need to get in touch with my inner Julie Andrews. Then maybe my voice will sound as good as hers.

Once a first grader said to me at the beginning of the year: "Mrs. Colosky sings a LOT better than you!" She was his K teacher. lol
