This and That for Monday

Hi there! I've been at a loss for words lately. Still not comfortable at ALL with the possibility of a Democratic-controlled Presidency, Congress, Senate and media. Trying to rest in the fact that God is in control. It is hard. Polls are looking better in Ohio and in Florida, however. I'm rejoicing about that.

We may get a substantial amount of money if Obama is elected and stays true to his tax-cut promise. I've heard from conservative sources that the amount for people like us could very well be $10,000 (in tax credits, since we don't make enough to actually pay taxes). I feel awful about this, as does my friend Joe the Plumber. lol I don't want someone's hard-earned money! The tax system already takes it from them, at a higher rate. This income redistribution (AKA socialism) is ridiculous. Don and I have no money-multiplying, job creating skills. Putting that money in our hands is not going to grow the economy. Let the entrepreneurs keep it! Please! That would be better for our country.

My left eye area has been twitching non-stop for over a week now. My doctor doesn't seem to think it is related to pregnancy, so I'm left with the possibility that it's related to stress and fatigue. It looks so strange, as if there is a heartbeat in my under-eye area. After the first day, I stopped feeling it; it is low enough that the eye itself is not involved now. Have you ever had this?

For nearly a month now, Rosey has been licking her lips and chin. Hence, I've been battling this awful-looking ring around her mouth. I've tried Aquaphor, which is good for eczema, as well as Carmex, Vaseline and chapstick. One or more of these ointments have also given her little pimples, which make the whole thing even more unpleasant looking. Help! I feel so sorry for her, and for me! People are staring, though they've been understanding. What has worked for you when your kids have done this?

Hi Pam... I get the eye twitches too, although not lately. For me it's always a response to stress, but not always at the exact height of it. It's almost like after I get through the worst of it, the eye twitching sets in. For me, once it starts it happens so frequently and intensely that it hurts. Deep breathing and prayer. I don't know what else to recommend. :-) Regarding the rash, my daughter had something similar sounding and I tried everything under the sun. Finally her doctor prescribed a hydrocortisone cream that cleared it up in about 3 - 4 days. I don't know if an OTC hydrocortisone cream would work or not, they probably aren't recommended for someone so young, but that's what finally worked. Hang in there girl.... I think of you and pray for you as God brings you to my mind.
Hugs!

I've had the eye twitch thing too, and it was definitely stress related.
