Go-To Verse and ADHD

We took Daniel off of ADHD meds three days ago. When we started back in late January with this medical-intervention journey, we were hopeful. Trying medication was something we felt we had to do. I'm glad we did, but I must say I'm very happy to have my son back. It was a bit of a disaster, to say the least. The whole experience has driven home that my son is "fearfully and wonderfully made". ADHD is difficult--especially when a family is undergoing change of any kind--but the condition also gifts a child with some unique characteristics, which may serve Daniel very well in his life, and be part of God's plan for his future. So we've decided to mercy him and love him, just the way he is, and keep reciting our go-to verse.

James 1:2
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds..

I was so blessed to read this...and a wonderful verse. Your son is so blessed to have such committed parents.
